Similar files
Instead of exact duplicate files, there are some files which are similar in content
and may be regarded as duplicate files as well. Document with different version,
slightly edited image files or MP3 with different tag information are some of the
examples.
How NoClone uncovers similar files?
"Similar files" is the new search template available in NoClone 2007. Besides True
Byte-by-Byte comparison, we provide a powerful fuzzy analysis to compare files.
File content will be analyzed to histogram of byte distribution. By comparing the
byte distribution, we can get the similarity of files and report suspected group
with similar greater than threshold set by user.
